Sorry if this has been posted before, but when I did a search I did not find it.

Seems like a pretty good deal for a sub $200 storage cabinet.

This may be OK (for what you pay), but don't expect much for any "Standard Duty" tool cart or box from Sears in these "winding-down days" for them. The metal gauge is one notch above tin foil, and can make the entry-level units from Lowe's (Kobalt) or Home Depot (Husky) seem like "Heavy Duty" by comparison.

craftsman standard duty is garbage

if all you have is $200, you would be much better off buying a US General box

You'd be surprised. I got the whole standard duty tool chest setup (top middle and bottom) when they had huge points back in December of 2017. I have way way overloaded it. I have about 10 of those craftsman specialty sets piled on top of the top of of it as well. As long as your not slamming it shut and take care of it it is perfectly fine. If I get a chance I'll put pics up on imgur later.

how this made it to the frontpage as if it is a deal is beyond me... sorry to be so harsh, but I agree with the previous poster that craftsman standard drawers are weak and flimsy... ESPECIALLY for large drawers like these... maybe for screwdrivers and light stuff maybe... but really?

I'm all for helping sears out while they go under, but not like this...

I have to respectfully disagree. This is 50% off. Meaning what you have just said applies to a 550 dollar cart. This is still obscenely expensive though. It's a cart with shelves.
You disagree but agree ??

Ancient Chinese secret, and last gasp of craftsman, the hardware store version craftsman owned by Stanley black and decker is ok but pretty much anything left at sears is bottom shelf china stuff, but at harbor freight or pay more for a Lowe's craftsman that won't be a fight to warranty as sears circles the drain

Ikea (for example) drawer pulls are much stronger than the ones used in this. Too much weight and the drawer will buckle off the track. I own one. Otherwise it's a good price for lighter tools and stuff.

Craftsman across the board has been Harbor Freight quality for years. I too am confused to see so many low-quality tools at higher-than-HF prices on the SD front page.

Definitely look out for the brand at yard sales and thrift stores though. It used to be a good brand.

If you are going to buy this online, use an email that you will not check. I had to block sears.com for spamming my inbox with unsubscribable ads.

Hard to buy this with the lower end large Husky ones from Home Depot that go on sale a couple times a year around the same price.
