Also got an email regarding shutting down ChasePay
Me too! Very curious about the long term plan here. Got to go reinstall chase pay.

This is probably the best category if you have Samsung pay. You can combine Samsung pay with Chase Pay and get 5% pretty much everywhere, including grocery stores. Samsung Pay works pretty much everywhere.
Could you elaborate on how to combine Samsung pay with chase pay

Any thought on how to manufacture spend in the category? This is probably the worst cat in all categories!

Edit - Instructions in link above look like they may be dated. Mine was setup a while ago, but if I go into the Chase Pay app now, there is a 'Manage' link in the bottom right. Click that, and then the next page has a little gear in the top right, click that to open Settings. And then the 3rd item under App Settings at the top is 'Samsung Pay'. Click that, and it appears you can link your Chase credit cards with Samsung Pay.

For Chase Pay, you may want to wait until the holidays hoping Chase will also have some vendor-specific promotions like past years.
In NJ, Shoprite usually runs some promotion with ChasePay during holiday months.

The sad thing is no credit card offers bonus on Costco in Q4.

Quick way to cash in on this deal, on your Chase statement closing date in October:
1) from paypal account #1, send $1,457.43 to paypal account #2, you will incur a paypal fee of $42.57 for a total charge of $1.500 to your Chase card, maxing out the deal.
2) transfer the $1457.43 to your high yield savings account paying 1.95% and earn $4.67 after 60 days.
3) on the next statement closing, collect your $75 from Chase, then set up the payment for the due date the following month direct from your high yield saving account.

$75 from Chase + $4.67 interest - $42.57 paypal fee = $37.10 net profit!

Walmart accepts Chase Pay via their Walmart app in-store for sure. I don't know about online purchases.

I was hoping for Walmart since I have a sizeable purchase. Does Walmart accept Chase Pay and can I use it for an online order?

Update: Did some research and Walmart accepts Chase Pay and you can use it to order online.
walmart has chase pay as an option. If you don't have anything to buy right now, you can buy walmart gift cards on walmart.com and use it later at walmart or sams club. I usually buy $1,500 walmart gift card and use it for grocery and gas.

Chase customer service is the worst. They don't represent you on disputes(one dispute in 4 years). I would pass.

I have never had an issue. My disputes (2 in the last 7 years) have been completed quickly. I got my money back in less than 12 hours.
