this isn't bad but not great either. the main thing making it an "ok" deal is the rtx 2060 and the 1TB, the 256gb ssd detracts from that a little though, it really should be 512.

its obvious. the lenovo.

anyone have this? any issues? I am just trying to get an idea of what companies/models to stay away from. Currently using a helios and its not bad. Dealt with HP before it and it was a horrible experience.

What's with such condescending replies? If it was so obvious there wouldn't have been a question...

My question wasnt about the specs, if you look at the specs itself the lenovo's is better. My question was the reliability of the company. lol

If money isnt a issue get the lenovo, because of the larger screen size w/ 144hz, better graphics card 2060 vs 1050, better processor, more ram 16gb vs 8gb, more storage you get a 256 ssd + 1tb HDD. I wouldnt spend $800 for the laptop you linked.

Thank you, but the HP link I had in the first post was incorrect. This is the HP I was asking vs the OP lenovo-HP Omen Gaming Laptop 17.3" Full HD, Intel Core i7-8750H, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Graphics, 1TB HDD + 256GB SSD, 16GB SDRAM, 4 Zone Backlit Keyboard, 17-an179wm $799

The HP laptop is good, but the lenovo has more updated specs, like the processor and the graphics card for it is a little outdated but still good and if its really $799 thats a good deal. If the monitor is 144hz w/ gsync then its even better. I would go with the HP , just because you can save money. Do you have the link?

The HP has 120Hz but with G sync which is not advertised for some odd reason. Hopefully this link works or else just search for keywords "Walmart gaming laptop megathread" and you should find the thread-https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/t/13376671

I have bought the HP omen 17.3", just checking here before I open the box.

That thing is a few generations old. 800 is a good price for it, but it's still "old" when you considers there's multiple generations newer parts out.
