Is it worth buying this and upgrading the RAM and graphics to make it a gaming desktop? I guess it'll need a SSD too lol

A 9900K with integrated graphics is like pairing a '78 Chevette transmission with a Porsche engine.

But this is a very good price. Find a good deal on a video card and some faster ram and you could have a decent machine for a decent price here.

My old Dell is amazingly still going despite being on 24/7 for years. Will need to upgrade soonish because this thing is on Windows 7.

Not a 9900K. Also not everyone plans on running games, or needing anything discrete to begin with...there's far more reasons to have 16 threads than games. Quicksync users would need to use the integrated graphics anyway - some workloads are worse with discrete graphics.

RAM and SSDs are both at all time lows - you can get 32GB of ram now for as little as $120, and 1TB SSDs are generally less than $100 now, even some NVMe drives have gotten that cheap.

Graphics on the other hand... expect to pay $400-600+ if you want a high end gaming pc.

Aside from the CPU, there are no fancy parts here.. You could buy CPU for $450, and rest of parts should cost $300 (PSU $30, MB $150-$200, case $50, RAM $35, HDD $35, OS cheap). This is not such a hot deal, I think.

Ah okay. Thanks for the replies everyone. Was needing a desktop for 4k editing but I'll pass on this. With a decent graphics card and other upgrades it'll be easily over $1500

460W psu is way more than enough for almost any graphic card you throw in this thing.
