Software is trash. There is a reason this is heavily discounted even compared to other GoPro products.

Omg I was just going to post this. Lowest price yet and includes 2 extra batteries and external charger. I don't have one but I did some research before buying my Rylo. This is weatherproof without needing a special case. Editing is considered difficult compared to the competition but if you have an iPhone or recent iPad it's probably manageable.

I am debating this. I love 360 video and have a yi 360 with a 360 gimbal, feiyu one I think. I don't do any editing other than stitching, combining and compressing videos. Adding weatherproofing/pool ability is the draw for me. It doesn't look like this price is getting much traction, anybody think it'll dip to $200 for black friday?

Unusable software is so trash. You cant even access the 360 photos outside their app because they are hidden on your phone (android included).. want to send one via facebook messenger which supports 360 photos? Nope... you are only able to post publically to your own facebook page. Want to email a photo? Nope again...

This is what I paid for the same package earlier this summer. I already returned it. It's not that editing is tough It's that you're limited in what you can do with it. Everything has to be done through computer if you want to share it anywhere Beyond Facebook publicly. Mine also had issues where they would freeze while recording and corrupt the video even using their specially approved MicroSD cards. It also would freeze while charging so when you want to use it it would be hot and almost dead, or just dead.

I bought one earlier this week, I'm about to return it (unopened)... After watching a gazillion videos, I figure everyone can't be wrong about how much of a nightmare post processing of the video is.. I ordered a insta360 Evo for $100 more instead.. I already have a insta360 Air so I know what to expect on the software side of things with their cams

There's supposed to be a new model out this fall. Hence the old one is being discounted heavily

If the Fusion's software is crap, assumption is the new Fusion will have much better software (otherwise it will continue to lose to the Insta360X).

Is it possible that this new software will make this Fusion more usable?

When I was researching it was clear my PC was not strong enough for editing fusion content. I moved to my iPad for most video editing anyways so an iOS solution appealed to me.

I found one YouTube of a guy who liked the fusion and explained his workflow, Mike Smale, and IIRC he did everything on an iPhone and said it's the only way to go. He was really the only person to really go into his workflow.

Most of my shooting is near water - kayaking or snowboarding - and the Insta 360 oneX didn't seem as good a choice in those environments. You have to balance features and price. At the time I bought, the Rylo seemed best for me for the price. Using a cashback site I paid (net) about $322+tax for the camera, waterproof case, two extra batteries, selfie stick and charger from Best Buy on prime day.

So, given the pricing of the competition today, at $250 I'd strongly consider this IF you have an iPhone 7 or later, 64gb minimum. If you don't like it Best Buy should accept a return within 15 days.

Price is down because the next generation should be announced soon. GoPro going to single memory card format allegedly. Also I owned one and got frustrated with the lack of IOS support for spherical content and would have needed to buy a 2-300 graphics card to be able to access on my home pc. It's a great camera but you'll be limited to what you can do. If you just want 360 content it's fine from mobile only editing. If you want spherical stuff, you will need a powerful PC/Mac. All that being said when the new version is announced a $400-500 price range is expected...

Your iPad has more processing power than your PC? I'm thinking its time you upgrade....

Ha...I considered it until I priced out i7 systems. Instead I spent $20 for LumaFusion. No regrets.
