Not a bad price for the 4k model even though it's overkill. The 1080p is the best choice for a 13 inch.

All soldered RAM. I think 9380 they soldered the Network card too. At least the SSD is still 2280 format.

IMHO, 4k is overkill for a 13" laptop, unless you're getting it for graphic design, video editing or the like, in which case, you might be aiming for a 15" or even a 17" to truly get the 4k feel.

The sweet spot (for me) for a 13" XPS 1080 is $750/800....

Just my $0.02

4k has touch. Way overkill. Not all apps are optimized for 4k. 4k scaling is a mess for some legacy app

Eh... you won't get any serious video editing done on a junky 620UHD. For graphic design you'd also want a panel with 100+% sRGB.

Any suggestions for a 13"-15" with that kind of panel?

Currently looking for that purpose (graphic design), but it's hard to find anything <$1500, and even then it seems like everyone's using 4k panels (even in smaller form factors) to jack up the price when 1080p is ideal for the vast majority of use cases.

IPS panel obviously, 1080p for 13 inch and maybe 4k on a 15 inch

Apple still has it right with the retina 2k display.
