Isn't $1500 price now OLED category. C8 and B9 are both in this range? Any reason to get an open box QLED over OLED?
I agree. I just bought the C8 for $1524 shipped. The C9 is going for around $1900 on sale. Not worth the extra $400 to me as I will never have use for the HDMI 2.1 features in the C9. QLED is not is on the same playing field with OLED. Light output is much better but that is pretty much it. Many will say burn-in for OLED. They are the same that said that for the plasma's. I still have 2 Panasonic plasmas circa 2007 and they are still awesome, no burn in, just heavy as .... (fill in the blank)!

False. Two years ago I picked up an $800 50" 4k led and it had a lot of features that TVs in the $1000's have. I paid $639 on black friday
I clearly said good TVs don't go on sale. An $640 50" is exactly is low end to mid tier BS that sells on BF.

My opinion is if you can't afford to buy something don't buy it and definitely don't buy used you pay for what you get

I'm returning my C8, Burn-in is not the reason, I do believe OLED can survive within 3 years.
Here is my biased review.
Pros:
  • Great uniformity, haven't noticed DSE as well
  • Exceptional black level
  • Highest possible contrast
  • Excellent reflection handling
Cons:
  • Slight vertical yellow tint and blue tint on the right and left side of the screen, it's noticeable under light color background, ex. use as computer monitor
  • Like Rtings review, Brightness changes with screen content (ABL), it makes text unreadable when background is white, and also bright scene in movies.
  • Overall brightness is moderate for this price
  • Because I'm using it as a computer monitor, I always need to take care of it because of the burn-in risk
  • In Game mode, some picture settings are unavailable, latency in non-game mode is unacceptable.
  • I realize I won't be able to sell it for a great price after 2 years.
If you plan to use as computer monitor, I would not recommend it.
For movie, sports, it's a great option.
For gaming, I have no experience with it.

Yup, buydig is a Junk station, they take in crap that the big retailer can't move or had returned, then market it back to the unaware public. nod
Yup, I learned the hardway on trying save $2k on a $5k TV on release day. They have bunch of good reviews that comes from them offeing fake upgraded shipping (from a never heard of shipping company) if you write a good review about them before you get the merchandise. Read the ridiculous huge amount of the bad reviews and complaints about BuyDig and you'll see people stating the a lot of the same problems. This is one shady, lying company. There is a reason why they are always offering huge discounts on things that seems too good to be true - because it is.

Soooo... any reason not to buy from Buydig? Pretty good price considering Samsung EPP is 1719.00.
Terrible price - I have Samsung EPP and the Q70 (a big step up from Q60) 65" is at $1100 with 15% cash back in Samsung rewards. This is a terrible deal...

That's a Q60, not the Q80 like this deal.

It ain't that bad. Wife watches CNN most of the time and I never saw any burn in for our old first gen OLED. Id suspect the newer ones work even better to counteract burn in and my new c8 is doing just fine had it for 3 months now.
I have heard similar reports about OLED burn-in being an overblown fear, like how we were made to fear plasma TVs "Leaking" back in the day. Or Prius batteries dying
