IMHO, a 1650 with a 6-pin connector is kind of oxymoronic.

Yea seems kind of silly because the main reason to get a 1650 over a RX 570/580 would be the lack of need for external power.
Still tempted to get this for my ITX build however as it currently heats up like a furnace even after heavy undervolting with the RX 580.

IMO the only reason to get a 1650 would be no external power needed. Many better cards out there for the same price, if not cheaper.

Best card in the 1650 market. Matches the RX 570 and much quieter. Downside is the RX 570 can be found for $100 new and $70 used.

honestly the external power isnt a big deal, the total power draw when overclocked is 88watts. so 18 watts is being drawn from the 6pin PEG connector.

Nice, reasonably powerful, low heat card. I bought one to put in my Shuttle PC with only a 300 watt powersupply. Thanks for the deal.

If more heat wasn't a concern, then this refurb Zotac 1060 6GB is a faster card for $145 shipped.

But I liked the idea that his 1650's fans stop when not in use - meaning the PC will be quieter and the 1650 uses approximately 40 watts less than the 1060 under load - which is 1/3 less heat -- and the 1650 is brand new - vs. refurb.

I just bought it and was about to post the deal until i found this thread. This seems like a good price AR for this card. I needed to get one since my new monitor doesn't have a dvi connection to match my GTX 560ti.

this is weaker than a rx 570
if you meant gtx 570, this would be a pretty big upgrade. i'd still get a rx570 if your psu has the connection however.

I was looking to upgrade an older system with a gtx 1050 ti.. they seem to be going for like 40-50 used if you're lucky..

benchmarks I seen of this card suggests it's only a slight upgrade over the 1050.. Or do I wait till black friday and maybe pick up a 570 cheap?

MSI's rebate couldn't have been simpler. It's electronic. You don't have to submit anything by mail. that makes this deal all the sweeter.
