Are you sure you're in college? You sound like you're still in high school. Nobody gives a shit about stuff like that at my school.

This brand (and others) also contact people who review headphones and other stuff quite a bit on Amazon and offer to refund the purchase price through paypal (so that the Amazon review says "verified").

I have actually done it twice for Taotronics, but a recent set from them (not these specific headphones) were DOA on arrival, and once I got a replacement set they worked awesome, for about two weeks. They hadn't paid me yet (although that wouldn't have mattered) so I told them about my issues and that I was changing my review on Amazon to one star (from 4 when they worked) and that I couldn't recommend them to anyone and to not worry about sending me money because I was returning them (again) to Amazon..

I'm all for getting free stuff to try out, but I'm going to tell the truth and edit my review if needed. If a company doesn't like that, they can not contact me to try out their stuff, it's up to them. I make sure to tell anyone who contacts me that I'm going to be honest as if I had bought the item at full price and judge from that.

Unfortunately not everyone is like that, and will say the headphones or whatever are great in order to get more free stuff. I buy and review all kinds of cheap headphones/tech on my own anyway, so I'm not going to compromise my integrity (even through Amazon reviews) just to get more free stuff.

If I can save someone the trouble of being excited about getting some cool headphones only to have them arrive DOA or stop working after two weeks (or however long) I'm all for it.

I probably will be thumbed down for admitting to being a part of this practice, but at least I'm up front with whatever company contacts me (such as Taotronics) and honest in my reviews, so oh well.

Edit: Taotronics (or any other brand) that I've worked with have never asked me to remove a negative review (I wouldn't anyway), but many of these off-brand companies will go above and beyond to make you happy (offer a refund, offer a different set of headphones, etc...), more than likely to help grow their brand, but take that as you will.

Lookup the model number on YouTube for the reviews. Many good reviews for this set.

I have their other model and it has no bass and a bit hollow sounding. I'm wondering if this is any different. Also, this is their 2018 model which is listed as IPX6 (not IPX7 )

Fixed the post to reflect it as IPX6 and not 7. Thank you for pointing that out.

The newer version, the soundliberty 3s, are only 3 bucks more expensive. Might be worth it for the IPX7, but idt there are any other differences besides that

does the discount coupon DCQ8TAI6 work on the newer model though? if not, it's $13 more expensive.

I own this set and LOVE IT!!! FYI the left side is in charge... the right is a slave and will not work alone. You must have the left earbud out of the case for the right one to work. They automatically connect. Best earbuds I've ever owned!!

I've only used for a couple months and I do like them too. I bought them in the last deal. I agree that the left is the master the right one cannot be used alone.

I owned these for a bit (before stupidly leaving them at a camp ground) and they sounded pretty good, albeit a bit lacking in bass and weren't exactly noise isolating. Also found the tapping to control very finicky and the design wasn't my fav. For the same price I picked up the urlhasbeenblocked ones that are almost identical specs but with Apt-X and the smaller size, and have been loving them.

One more thing though, why don't more earbud designs adopt the oval shape? Like the Panasonic Ergofit. Those things fit like a glove and sound so darn great.

My biggest gripe with wireless earbuds are comfort and what they do when the battery is low. How much of a warning do they give you before they die? Do they have any kind of battery indicator?

How comfortable do you find them?

Thanks!

How are these for running? I need a new pair of earbuds for when I'm working out.
