I know, that's what I tell my buddy who bought a car for $5000, what a moron I got mine for $500.

Decent deal, but I wish they didn't always come with a hub. I already have 3 Hue hubs and can't even give them away because the better deals always come with a hub...

We have 22 hue bulbs, they really make the house have a nice ambience to it, mood settings etc. Routines are great for waking up, night time, flip on/off when away from house, smoke alarms make the lights have red tint for the house whereas the lights flicker blue for water leak from smartthings sensors

I'm not quite sure why this was down thumbed. It isn't the best deal ever, but it is the best one recently for 4 of the color bulbs for $25 each even if it is refurb.

It is better than the white bulb only deal that was front paged recently unless you really hate refurb.

I can vouch for these guys refurbs on the Hues. I bought several of the BR30's, some of these A19's in this OP, a couple Hue Gos and some dimmer switches. Colors were in line with the "new" ones I had and all seemed like new condition other than the refurb packaging.

Tempting the lights I have in my home are cheap and really bad for white and color. If I ask for red they are green etc I don't get it and I hate it.

The thing is there are so many great wifi bulbs available for a much cheaper price now, it's hard to justify a $25 per bulb price. What am I missing here that makes this worth it?

I already have 1 hue hub. Is there a good reason to have a 2nd hub? I think I've read it might even be more of a nuisance having multiple vs just 1?

I think in previous deals the bulb itself is $15 each from amazon

No you shouldn't need more than one (unless you're over 50 bulbs). Unfortunately bundled prices are cheaper and almost always include a hub. Most people sell them on ebay for a few bucks even further bringing down the cost per bulb.
