It remembers whatever selection you wanted. I would not get the Stormbox 360 over this one. This one is louder(per tribit) and sounds better. Put in "maxsound" in the amazon questions and reviews of the stormbox 360 amazon page and you will see what I mean. Maxsound is the one to get.

They will adjust if its within a week. This one is much better but if that's more in your price range stick with it.

Just received the smaller one (go) yesterday that was $32. That one is $23 today. Grrr. Might return and rebuy that one as amazon won't price adjust themselves (last I heard) which is dumb.

One of the best speakers on the market.
Don't hesitate, buy it. Check the reviews on Youtube, blows away all of the Anker speakers in this range.

Thx. Do u have to "turn on" the bass button every time u power the speaker on (if u prefer that sound) or does it stay "on" until you deactivate it irregardless if the unit has been turned off/on?

I see the next model up (stormbox 360) is $10 more and is wirecutter's top pick so I guess I'll order that one. I'll return the tribit go and I'll probably put my UE Wonderboom on eBay 👌🏼

Ok. I did the search in the 360's reviews. It showed three reviews with maxsound in the review. One said they were basically equal unless you put the maxsound in its side. One said the 360 had a vibration. Is there some other review that has the maxsound beating the 360 that isn't showing?

There must have been a manufacturing issue with a batch of these back in June/July. I had bought one back then and the speaker would turn off randomly after about 15-20 minutes. I returned/replaced it with Amazon and the second unit also had the same problem. In looking at the reviews on Amazon you will see similar complaints around that time frame.

In my case I reached out directly to the company via email and they were EXCELLENT in ensuring I was satisfied. I pointed out my observation that perhaps there was a bad batch so they sent me a third unit (which shipped from Amazon). That unit is working flawlessly and without this power-off issue.

search in the questions section...

"Cannot figure out why this thing was designed the way it was. It is supposed to be 360 degree sound but it must be laid on its side. If you stand it on end, you are blocking one of the passive bass radiators.
The controls are difficult to press and very difficult to see which button does what. They are black on black controls but this speakers controls are much harder to see than other BT speakers using the same color scheme.
The bass is very solid but distorts more when compared to the MaxSound+. I had to turn off the BassUp button to help control distortion even at mid volume. Positioning of this speaker helped to increase bass after EQ and BassUp adjustments lowered the bass.
It has a strap for hanging the speaker up, which actually makes the speaker sound very good when compared to flat surface positioning. This applies to all speakers, but few provide an integrated strap.
The highs/treble is almost too much for my ears. With having to reduce the bass when listening to this speaker at more than 50%, it puts out too high pitched sound which actually hurt my ears. And I LOVE treble normally, but this is too much.
This is a lesser version of the MaxSound+ which is designed to stand on end. It provides nothing new as far as sound experience goes and is NOT worth the price asked for it., This is a $39, low volume, desk speaker. see less"

The big version of the Tribit speaker is powerful, and frankly punches a bit above its original price point. One thing I didn't particularly like was the lack of accurate bass reproduction on the normal, non-bass-boosted mode...so you either have too little bass or too much bass.

All told, though, at this price it's absolutely worth considering.

I read that one too. It's the only review where I saw someone complain about not being able to stand it on its end, how it was designed. Wirecutter never mentioned anything about this. I also found one comparison review on YouTube between the maxsound and 360. He didn't have audio clips but said everyone in his family thought the 360 sounded better.

500 reviews.
Sold by Tribit Direct.
YMMV, this seems abnormally popular.
