I'd be surprised if this wasn't a repost but I can't seem to find it. Regardless, some may have missed it (like me). American Express has an offer for Blue Cash Preferred card holders (and perhaps other cards as well) that needs to be activated on their account. You must activate by November 21st, 2019 and it runs from now until December 5th, 2019. Spend $1000 get a $40 statement credit and you can do it 3x.

Upon first thought I assumed this was minus our normal cashback earnings, however I have verified with one of their CSRs that this is in fact on top of what you normally earn.

Example: Spend $1000 on groceries; earn $60 in cashback due to the 6% normal bonus on groceries, also earn $40 as a statement credit (4% of spending). $100 total cashback earned on $1000 worth of groceries (total of 10% cashback).

TLDR;
Spend $1000, earn $40 statement credit (4% cashback)
You can earn this bonus 3x in the time period (4% cashback on $3000)
Activate by November 21st, 2019
Expires on December 5th, 2019
CREDIT IS ON TOP OF REGULAR CASHBACK

I just signed up for the Spend $1,000 or more, get $40 back. Up to 3x offer. I was curious, is this on top of my existing cashback bonus for each category? Meaning will I still get my 6% cashback on groceries

It is the bonus cash back offer

Pam - 10:58 AM
So if I were to spend $1000 on groceries, I would earn the $60 from my normal 6% cashback, then an additional $40 for the statement credit?
You - 10:59 AM
Yes, correct
Pam - 10:59 AM

My offer was only 1000 points if I spend a $1000. Lucky you, this is a much better offer.

So 10% CB (at best,) but must spend $1000 in ~2.5 months at grocery stores.

That was just an example for easy math. Anyone that has the card knows their categories and various cashback ranges. At worst with only 1% cashback on a purchase, you're still getting a minimum of 5% on $3000 if you take full advantage of the offer..

The offer I received was spend $500 get $10 back up to 3x by 12/5/2019. I doubt I'll use it, but $10 is $10 if I can use it. The card is a AMEX Blue Cash Everyday.
