DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER. I bought this last time And received it without the black handle as shown. After a few messages, they responded and said the handle was on its way. I kept waiting and waiting. They never sent. I created dispute with paypal after the 30 day returned policy, the seller ended my dispute without saying a word.

I ordered one last time when this deal showed up from the same seller..i received the drill with wobbling chuck...was on vacation and passed 30days when i started using it, contacted seller and they wouldn't wanna exchange..
not sure if wobbling is common in this drill but it has lot of power and very heavy with 5ah battery...
i have couple of dewalt tools so looking something light weight with hammer option in it... may be dcd796.. can some tell me the difference and suggest which one is best??

Awesome, thanks! I've been needing a new hammer drill. Good deal for those who couldn't take advantage of the HD clearance offer for $80 (https://slickdeals.net/f/13389301-dewalt-dcd996b-20-volt-max-xr-lithium-ion-cordless-1-2-in-premium-brushless-hammer-drill-tool-only-ymmw-80-00)

I had the same issue, ordered from one of these ebay deals. Its still decent for drilling but nothing else. Im considering ordering a replacement chuck and swapping it out myself.

I have the brand new kit version of this drill and it packs some serious power, it s 20V but came with the flexvolt battery so essentially 6Ah or 3x capacity compared to standard 2 Ah battery. Useful when hammerdrilling. Yea the Chuck shouldn't wobble at all and is all metal with the three teeth design.

This is a solid drill. Tons of power.

Carbide teeth inside the chuck as well.

I wish it had the extended length handle like Makita, it has a lot of torque.

There are other offers for the same drill and handle for $12 less. I just bought one. Only difference is no free shipping on returns. I've never had any issue with my other DeWalt tools so I don't feel worried about returning it.

This thing is a beast! I feel like it wants to snap my puny little wrist if I don't use the second handle. Left me with a nice scar on my hand too!
