A true moon phase is about as compelling an argument for quartz over mechanical as I can think of. Those complications are tricky to set correctly. Once done, you don't want the watch stopping or you have to do it all over again.

A quality watch winder is pretty much mandatory for a moon phase with an automatic movement.

And not all men are insecure about watch size.Wave

Good price, but I am seriously on the fence on Edox. I bought one of their automatic Les Vauberts watches a couple of years back and it just does not work. It eventually just stops due to charging issues, even when worn regularly.

Agreed, I bought the same and whenever it sits for even a few days the winding mechanism gets completely stuck. I have to either wear it or keep it on a watch winder 24/7. Never buying this brand again.

I have one too. It became a known issue with the Les Vauberts. I eventually sent mine back for repair just before the warranty expired. However, this issue will not apply to a quartz watch. (Obviously 🙂)

I dont know- I had a quartz one and after 7 years the thing just wont work. Suddenly one day it stopped. tried rubbing it, looking at it really hard, asking nicely but its a mystery....

LOL all automatic watches work like that even Rolex.
You clearly do not know what you're talking about lol. You should be able to let an auto sit for some time and still be able to wind it properly to get it going again. I have dozens of autos and the Edox is the only one I've had this issue with.

If that's the case the other problem could be these Edox watch "deals" are really old stock and need servicing right away. Edox doesn't make their own movements and just buys them from ETA/Sellita or whoever.

At $159 there was no way it was going to be an automatic or manual.
