This is the same price Home depot and Lowe's sell it for, but gives you $1 slow shipping credit.
This one is old construction, uses plastic tabs to secure in existing drywall. You do not need a stud for these boxes. 20 cubic inches is good up to ten 14GA connectors, online calculator is here: https://www.constructionmonkey.co...al/boxfill
The deal is for people who need to have a spare box for future projects.

Size for B120R:
4 1/8 Lx2 5/16 Wx3 5/8 D

For folks who say that these are two for $1 locally - you are most likely talking about "new construction" boxes with nails like this one below. "Old construction" rarely go on sale and only the smaller ones approach $1/pc

This is about as niche as it gets. I will give TU for that.

This is awesome! I've been waiting for so long to install an old work electrical box, but I just couldn't afford it. Seriously, $1.51 at HD? Are we all rich?

OP speaks my language. Only $0.66 for one of these, so I'm saving $0.85 and I have to wait an extra 10 days, but I can almost afford a drink at McDonald's! Yes!

If you have access to Menards, they're a dollar every day: https://www.menards.com/main/elec...c-6425.htm

Edit: Realized this is the 14 cu.in. 20 cu.in. is $1.50: https://www.menards.com/main/elec...c-6425.htm

Why would anyone go to McDonald's for a drink when you can get a 2 liter for a $1? You ain't that slick.

Well if you wanted refills you should have kept your cup from last time. Those straws and ice are free if you walk in and ask for a water cup

I disagree with any and all criticism of these things. I have used them more than a few times. These can be installed anywhere, no stud needed (not that I'm lacking in that dept 😂). But are especially for installing new outlets or switches in existing walls. I have no issue with the wings. You may have to adjust the depth of wings before install based on your walls but once tightened they're good and solid. Probably don't use it to hang a fan or chandelier or something.
As to the savings ridicule... stop clicking on links of stuff you don't want. There're slick dealing contractors that will buy 50 of these.

I just bought 2 of these at Lowe's for under $1 together

Edit - it didn't have the tabs but the nails
So you bought new work boxes, and are comparing them to old work boxes. Gotcha.

i literally just drove 30 mins to HD to buy 10 of these for a renovation after extensive research. Seeing old work boxes, the exact ones I just bought 2 hours ago, on slickdeals, is the most meta experience of my life. I still cant believe it. How specific can a deal be.
