Costco has the i7 with mx230 version for 700 for those interested.

edit: accidental MX250 instead of MX230.

I see a MX230 with a i7 for $700. Don't see anything about a MX250

This NE policy has been around for several years since people abused their returns policy. Other retailers have similar one too including AMZ. Personally I dont like it as a lot of times specs are not given in details to allow me to know if it will have what i want but what can I do? Theres an easy fix: If you dont like their returns policy, dont buy from them. I have not bought anything from NE for a long time.

We actually just picked one of those up (though yes its the mx230) and I'd generally recommend against that model. Apparently the i7 is rather useless in this case as it throttles heavily after just a short run. Also, I don't really see the point in the mx230. Its very marginally better than integrated graphics, but I suppose if you want to do some light gaming it might get you over the hump for some high settings at playable refresh rates. Overall though, for basic home/office use, get this newegg deal and save yourself the ~$170 bucks.

Also, as a bit of a note on just the Flex 15 in general, it makes for a seriously bulky tablet. We were buying this computer for my wife and she swore up and down she wanted a 15 screen and didn't care much about the tablet mode. Well, we've now learned she likes the tablet mode but the thing is heavy and big. We're likely to return it and go with a 14, such as the HP Pavilion x360 14". Also, the Flex 15's screen is a bit on the dim side. I wasn't sure how much that mattered until I took it home. A max 250 nits is not really acceptable in my book, 300 should be the minimum.

Buy from Costco first, try out a bunch of stuff, and then be ready to spring on a good deal when you see the model you want somewhere else...

In other words, abuse Costco so that they'll eventually worsen their return policies. We need other retailers to follow Costco's lead rather than bring Costco to lower level.
