1. You're paying more for less.
2. If your gpu ever burns out, you have a secondary option to still power on and limp along until the new graphics card arrives.

i9-9900KF vs i9-9900K

i9-9900KF is the same thing as i9-9900K but no built in graphics option. Intel isn't even pricing this less than the i9-9900K so I see no reason to get this unless you really are interested in the bundled mobo as well.

I am thinking that a closed loop hybrid cooler would be a good option.

Still rocking my i7 870 that I bought in 2010. It's getting close to time to upgrade, but I'm thinking it would be cool to squeeze a solid decade out of it.

You think I could get as much time out of this one?

Edit:
Userbenchmark says it's only 122% faster than the other processor I have.

Damn, a $120 off a Z390 + 9900 combo is pretty damn solid. Very tempting! Will have to look up some reviews for this board

Cpu performance has plateaued if you're asking from a gaming perspective.

The only thing monster cpu's buy these days are bragging rights unless you seriously need tons of cores for cpu intensive tasks like video processing or analytical programs.
