I've had this set for years. Its a great set.
It's just heavy. And when fully opened, it takes a lot of space. So it makes it difficult to put it anywhere besides the floor.

I would completely recommend this set.

Is this a joke? That set has way less sockets and extensions plus a bunch of filler bits not to mention the reviews are worse.

Driver bits, rather than being simply "fillers", are often required to remove panels, clips, covers, brackets, etc. and are a manufacturer's way to get a wider variety of tools to fit in a compact and portable case. The kit you listed, while comparably a better value, will often need to be supplemented with a variety of screwdrivers (or spinner handle and bit set) to get the job done.

Which set is best depends on an individual's needs, especially taking into consideration whether or not having all the tools in one portable case is desired.

I bought this for $175 in a pinch when I was looking to replace my junkyard set with a large full set with a case that would actually hold the sockets in place. it is a large dimension, heavy set that is not the best on the go, but it is as complete a set can get in a molded case.

There are no screwdriver bits..?Confused
The top two rows in the picture. Some of them look like Torx bits. Also, you can put a small socket on a spinner handle and have a nutdriver.

How do warranty replacements work with these? I've always appreciated HF/Craftsman/Kobalt for ease of warranty.

I've got a set like this from Dewalt from a few years back. It is a great set. I'm a mechanic, and I have tons of tools at work, but at home they are all scattered around. I got this set so I could have most all of the stuff I might need for wrenching (just noticed this set doesn't have any wrenches) in one place. I try now to make sure that I put everything back in the case when I am done with it.

Looking at the pictures, the socket wrenches don't have that thing on the back you can press to release the socket.

It depends on your needs.

The set in this deal is basically a socket set with a few allen wrenches. The set you linked is a much more general duty set including combination wrenches, allen wrenches, a screwdriver handle and accompanying bits.

Since sockets cost more than driver bits, most would say that this deal is the better deal, but if you need the wrenches and screwdriver options, and want all the tools in a single compact portable case, the one you linked to is a good choice.
