I installed this board a month ago when I got my 3700x and it seems to be working great so far. Great price though. My board was $180 but if you bought with a ryzen cpu microcenter gave $50 off the board.

The Ryzen 3600 seems to be the go-to for gaming especially if you pair it with some fast low latency memory.

How does this compare to the ASUS Prime X570-P? I bought it as part of the bundle offered on Newegg the other day but I'm considering returning and buying this and the 2700x on sale. The build is for video editing.

I stayed away from the x570, didn't see the need to pay the premium for the PCI-E 4.0. Even tho I wasn't going to use it, the board does runs hot (hence the fan on the mobo). Feature-wise they're almost identical (minus the features 5 series board gives you).

I saw a YouTube video demonstrating that you will get PCI 4.0 performance when using a Ryzen 3700X with an X470 board. No need for X570 just yet especially where there is so little hardware being made to the standard yet. I currently have this motherboard with a Zen+ Ryzen 2700X and am extremely pleased. As much as I want to upgrade, I know I have plenty of horse power with this combo. Great board with tons of headroom for future upgrades.
