Microsoft Surface Pro 6 - Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD - Best Buy - New for $1099 or Open Box Excellent for $857 with Free Shipping

+5 Deal Score
Best Buy has the Microsoft Surface Pro 6 (Core i7/8GB RAM/256GB SSD) in black for $1099, or you can get it in 'Open Box Excellent' condition for $956. Free shipping for both.

YMMV, but if you have that 10% off eBay promo you can get them for $1049 and $906, respectively. Also with free shipping.

Best Buy on eBay - Open Box Excellent:

Edit: Open Box Excellent has unfortunately increased to $956 from $857.

The Open Box Excellent i5/8GB/256GB version has decreased to $692 though:

Even the open box fair is not as cheap as the open box excellent price that OP quoted... They must have raised the prices on the open box, or else the prices he was pulling were based on local stock (I.E. It's misleading to say open box excellent is at $857 and say free shipping when some of us can only get it shipped for a steeper price--$956).

The post should be modified or marked 'expired'

I ended up ordering the excellent condition i7 256gb 8gb and I was lucky enough to have a lower open box sticker placed on the product that was priced for 856.99 printed out on the same date I ordered. I called customer service and without any hassle they credited me the price difference.

So, my recommendation is to see if it's priced differently in store or call customer service and tell them how upset you are to see a lower price on the box and ask for a price difference.

Good luck!

This is the standard price for new. As for the open box deal, the i7 offers little over the i5 (I use machines with both every day). The i5 model is available for $800 or less new with keyboard @8GB/128GB.

It's an okay deal if you need 256GB, but then for less than $150 additional the i5/256GB, brand new, with keyboard is available for less than $1k.
