Hi guys,

I was wondering if buyers can be forced to pay back taxes from their past Newegg purchases? I have seen many Newegg FP deals, and I bought many.. Now, I am worried that Newegg will send me a back taxes letter.

TIA,
TL
Newegg doesn't collect anything. IRS does.....

What dude above said. Youre fine. If they didnt tax you at those past purchases, they can't ever. IF your state institutes taxes for online purchases then they can start collecting taxes.

You are fine. I have bought stuff from all over the country for probably 25 years and haven't paid taxes on certain websites. As greedy as the states are if they haven't come after you yet they probably will not. Once October 1st kicks in most of us will be paying online taxes for our state purchases.

This seems like a good deal. I'm in the process of building my pc right now. This is the CPU I'm getting. I haven't decided on the motherboard yet, so I don't know if this is a good way to go.

Not sure what price range you are looking for in a motherboard, but I've been researching and the x570 gigabyte aorus elite and x570 Asus Tuf Gaming have been reviewed well. I just built a pc for my son and the motherboard available locally was X570 Asrock Steel Legend and it has been just fine so far.

The Asrock pro in this deal looks pretty good. It has intel LAN and Realtek ALC1200 onboard sound. As long as you are getting a 3700x or lower I'm sure it's fine. If you want a 3900x or 3950x and overclocking I'd look for beefier VRM and more expensive board.

IRS doesn't collect sales tax, states do. And there is a precedent for online stores being forced to share sales data with states to aid in the collection of sales tax.

Is this worth getting if you have a Ryzen 7 2700x and 2080ti and will only use it for gaming?

Since the supreme court said states can collect online sales taxes several more states will join the tax grabbers [foxbusiness.com]. Some stores I use have already added taxes to their sales.

I've been waiting for a deal on the 3600/x and purchased the ASUS motherboard that was on here yesterday. I think wait for something a little slicker than $9 off.

That's the deadline if you are granted the 6mo extension on filing your taxes.

I mean...it isn't a bad price, but the Ryzen 7 2700X is basically the same price right now. Is this really a comparable CPU? Seems significantly inferior.
