Ant problems will depend on the type of ant, and the specific situation of where they're living and how they're getting inside. I tried these for a while and got no results. Doesn't mean they're bad, they just didn't work in my situation.

In our case there were no ant farms near our home but ants would randomly figure out a way to get inside through a crack or something small. So using a poison that is made to go back to the nest was not that effective. Instead I bought a bag of Spectracide Triazicide. I cut a corner of the bag off leaving a spout of perhaps 1 inch in size. I walked around the perimeter of the house leaving a thin trail of triazicide as a barrier. Right against the exterior wall. Used one bag for the entire perimeter, skipping entry doorways. That has worked very well for us. It can be found on sale for seven or eight dollars. Seems to work for a couple months at a time.

Just offering another possible option.

If your outdoor ant problem doesnt get resolved with terro... go with the nuclear option of termidor sc or taurus sc. If applied correctly, it works. Period

This stuff works. Had a really bad ant problem in my house. Put these along the foundation outside- in a couple days no more ants.
