Isn't this normal price for a new Switch game at a physical Wal-Mart location?

Not all new titles are $50 at Walmart. It appears to be just first party switch games.

Confirmed this at my local Walmart this morning. They only had about 10 in the box, so YMMV and I expect them to go quickly.

Was hoping to snag a dreamer edition. They didn't even know they had these. They found them in a box in the photo section. Lady told me she was supposed to get some switch lites as well, but no idea what's going on with those. What a mess Walmart is.

My Walmart hadn't even unpacked these yet when I went to pick it up at 9:30am. They were still trying to stock Switch Lites and Ni No Kuni so they were running super late on stocking for whatever reason and it's a 24 hour store.

So if it's not on the shelf in your store, ask for it. They probably have more in the back that aren't shelved yet.

Only if the box cover bothers you (the rating in the corner).

Walmart had it at the posted price but they weren't in the glass case yet. They had two spots for it within that case. I found the electronics lady and she still had the games in the box they come in. So if you don't see it, ask before assuming it's sold out.

This has been standard fare with Nintendo exclusives and 1st parties for a while now. I got Fire Emblem and Astral Chain this way.

Thanks OP. Just because it's the routine doesn't mean everyone knows about it. Got mine a little bit ago.
