I've been thinking about this for a long time. But it seems like Dolby Vision still doesn't work properly Frown

That's a great deal. If only they could throw in a magic wand I could use to convince my wife we need a TV this big. Alas...

Is the 950g worth the extra $ over the 900f?

What's up with the Dolby Vision? Been waiting for this for awhile and now you've got me skeptical. Anyone else have issues with DV on the 900F? Is it specific with the 85"?

It depends how much $. Differences are minimal. I would spend an extra $200-$300 but not more.

There are countless report online that Dolby Vision is too dim or simply looks washed out on this TV. If DV is your priority, I would wait for X950G to drop. They apparently fixed DV on X950G. I am pretty sure coming black friday X950G will be at this price level Smilie But that's just my conjecture.

X950G pros vs. X900F

1. X1 Ultimate vs. X1 Extreme: particularly might be noticeable at this gigantic size.
2. Dolby vision - Apparently fixed
3. Android OS finally is usable due to much faster mediatek processor.
4. eArc - eARc made lip sync correction mandatory. Might be useful for Atmos soundbars like HW-Q90R. eArc also has separate channel to talk to the soundbar instead of broken HDMI CEC. Supports Dolby True Sound (uncompressed Dolby Atmos)
5. Wide viewing angle - Might be good thing to chose for TV of this size (even sitting center will introduce angle to the corner of the screen)
6. Netflix calibrated mode
7. Far-field mic, Can talk to the TV without additional device.
8. Lot better remote
9. Also if you game, X950G has much better input latency.
10. 4 High speed HDMI instead of just 2.

MichaelB6238
Also interested in this.

From what I have read on AVSForums the 950G has better vieweing angles as the cost of worse contrast ratio.

Yeah, after I read this I started looking online. Do you think it will ever be fixed with updated firmware? $2799 is an awesome price, but not without DV.
