I think the WG170 is the better item if you are interested in also using it as a wheeled "mini-mower". I think that is the one they also sell in those TV ads.

But if you have any interest in also getting a (probably weak) blower and want 2 longer lasting 4.0ah batteries instead for $84 - 20% = ~$67, I would go for this refurbed bundle of the 170.1 and blower:

I think this is the cheapest it has been.

EDIT: 2.0ah bundle is $70, no discount on it.

Not looking to buy into another line of cordless tools but they also have the WG170 for the same price.

WORX WG170 GT Revolution 20V PowerShare Cordless Electric String Trimmer/Edger [ebay.com]

It also includes (2) 20v Batteries. Is one unit better than the other?

How does this compare to the black and Decker 20v? I have the black and Decker and it sucks.

how well does it cut thick grass? I forgot the name. But it's the grass the grows along the ground like a vine. And is it auto feed? How good is that? ty

It can do the job. I have one too and like it.

Auto feed and spins very well. Of course, as the battery runs down the motor loses power too.

All in all a great deal for $40. I have the whole PowerShare line and love it.

I bought this used - like new from Amazon a while back. I am 6'2" and even when fully extended, my back aches from being bent over the entire time. It's always worked well though. I have little complaints other than I wish it was a little taller/longer and here recently the charger started making a faint, high pitched sound while charging.

I also have a Worx leaf blower and it has always worked flawlessly.

I just threw this out. Too weak for thick grass and weeds. Costs more, but the refurbished Ego fro a week ago works infinitely better.

In for one. Too good of a deal to pass up. Mostly interested in the ability for it to edge without killing my arms like my current one

Overall - your getting a light weight, solid trimmer.

I have a heavy duty gas for heavy weeds and shit, but for 40 dollars. this will do alot.

Also gets you a cheap way into the 20V line (i have the jaw saw, and the power washer) both of which i got on the cheap.

If you're not trying to use a cordless trimmer as a bushhog, these things work very well. I have the LST420 Black and Decker and have zero complaints. Two batteries will do my entire acre including edging. I have two garages with ramps and a pool that I have to edge around and still have power left in the second battery when done. I weed eat weekly so it never gets out of hand.

I also have a Snapper 60v cordless trimmer and I've used it once. It is WAY overpowered and is like wielding a 4 foot long chainsaw. Sometimes too much power is just too much (Sorry Tim the Tool Man Taylor)

What's the difference between two? Sorry I didn't see much difference in comparing pictures except the title.
BTW when they said wheeled it is having wheel on side?
