A bit too small and there is no stove pipe type for smoke ventilation. It vents along the side but that creates heat loss problems like the cheap pit boss smokers.

I've been impressed so far. Build quality seems much better than the smaller Traegers and it does a nice job of maintaining temperatures. It's small, but plenty of room for me and my family, especially considering we also have a Weber Grill. This is a no brainer at $199.

yes...anything under 200 for pellet is fine. I just like that smoke stack because it looks cool.

You need to use a manual gauge like a probe to see what the true temperature is. When the unit burns pellets the temp will swing but will drop once the pellets stop feeding.

Really tough to find any reviews on this unit posted. Not even one single negative review. Only 3 reviews on Amazon. Consumer Reports gave it high marks...still, no much out there for feedback

I've had no probs with mine. Temperature control is very good (stays within a few degrees over several hours and no fluctuations as new pellets are added). The temperature readout is also accurate compared to other thermometers I have. Maybe try a different brand of pellets; I've heard that can sometimes make a difference. However, my experience is that it works very well.
