I'm getting this for my office, which has microwaves but no stovetop. Why can't people ever imagine a situation other than their own?

I have these. Hit them with some kind of spray before putting them in the microwave. They work surprisingly well.

you could also be a retired sous chef who no longer has patience for cooking.

Egg's white is undercooked or even uncooked in some parts even after 50 seconds in a 1000w microwave oven.
After 50 seconds yolk and other parts of white overcooks.

Mixed reviews... If you just want a cooked egg it seems to work well, but sounds like it's extremely difficult to dial in a "poached" egg consistency with a liquid yolk and cooked whites.

Just watch a couple videos on how to poach an egg in hot water. You don't need this tool; save your money and kitchen space.
You also don't need to tell people what to do. Maybe some people live in nyc and don't have a stove. Don't assume please.

I think this will be great for when in a rush with no time to boil water or fry them on a pan.

I have 2 of these. It does take some trial and error to get the eggs dialed in to your microwave. After that, they work great!

I don't recommend using any kind of spray. I add the water first then the egg. Makes for a better looking egg.
