The Walmart listening states "Backlight: QLED". Is that an error?

Yes. This is not a QLED model.

I need a new front room tv and have seen this curved type but not sure about them. Why do people like them and why is it curved?

I wouldn't get this for a front room or any room where people may watch from the side. Anyone watching from the side will only see half the screen due to the curve.

This is great if your watching directly in front. I would for the bedroom if the TV is directly in front the bed,

Not quite but you're on the right track.

Thank you, I appreciate you taking the time to reply and I will pass then. My 55 inch just died two days ago and I thought I might as well get a bigger one. This close to black friday, I may try and hold out.

How come no one ever posts the refresh rate in the OP for tv deals? Its like a super important feature.

Because refresh rate is basically an artificial number produced by a chip that generates frame-insertion images between the actual images [cnet.com]. So unless you're using this for gaming, it kinda doesn't matter.
