This is now a good deal. If you do some quick research, you can get this card to run at 5700 XT level and then some. It can even almost match 2070 Super level in some instances. This is a fun card for tweakers.

The two comments so far are polar opposites but the truth lies in the middle. It's an ok card at an acceptable price. If you're going to do custom water cooling or a custom shroud, this is a GREAT card to get, but the non reference models run much quieter and cooler if either of those things matter enough to you to shell out $20-40 more.

Would this bottleneck on an older motherboard (believe it's pcie 3.0 or 3.1 or something) with a i7-3770?

A good undervolt and +25 power limit gets these things quiet too

a proper undervolt makes reference quiet and cooler. also you can tweak these a lot. see my link below.

It doesn't really run at XT level. You can OC the frequency near XT level but it doesn't give you the missing compute units.
