Wyze Plug - 2 Pack - $14.99 plus $4.99 shipping

I just received an email from WYZE announcing their new smart plug. Not sure how great of a deal this is, but Wyze is a reputable brand. Basically comes to $20 shipped. I could not find it on amazon to compare prices, so it is possible it is not on amazon yet. Anyways, I thought I would throw this out there.

Enjoy!

Thanks for posting!

For those who care about this sort of thing, the plugs appear to be ETL certified, but not UL listed.

I don't know how those certifications differ or if it matters.

Thanks! That seems like something I *should* care about, but do not know the difference, lol!

seems like a good deal, a lot of functionality, like controlling when away from home. Love their products but will wait for Prime free shipping.

From what I can tell, it is the "regular" price at the moment as it was just released. There was a thread a while ago where you could pre-order these at this price also, but they appear available now.

I have 4 smart plugs, have no use for them, I already have a few Hue bulbs. But Wyze is great, so for some reason I want these.

In my experience Wyze marks up their sell price for Amazon so it ends being the same.

Decent price for smart plugs that don't require a hub. I've been using mostly Wemo and overall hadn't had any major issues. May want to wait later in the year for specials they may have to push out these products and see what other users have experienced.

I'm patient and waiting for more reviews. I already have two generic plugs. Wyze had one of their best deals on Prime Amazon has Wyze Cam 1080p Indoor Wireless Smart Camera w/ Night Vision for $19.54. https://slickdeals.net/f/12420871-wyze-cam-1080p-hd-indoor-amazon-deal-of-the-day-19-54?v=1
Never even thought I needed one but for that price it was too good to pass up. I liked it so much I got the Pan model also. More like a wildlife cam here in the woods.

The nice thing about having all the Wyze stuff is that, with not too much difficulty, you can have a Wyze cam which detects motion turn on an outlet, and record at the same time etc. I have a few of the Wyze door sensors, and I have the cams record when they trigger, with the outlets you could other stuff happen also. It all works fairly reliable too.

I do like Wyze products but this price of 20 dollars plus tax for 2 of these devices is not slick.

I bought this a few days ago on slickdeals 16 dollars 4 smartplugs 15amp ....

The deal ended a few days ago, and I'm just using it as comparision to this deal of 2 smartplugs for 20 plus tax , .... showing 4 of the same type smartplugs for 16 dollars.

sorry, BN-link is third rate, I checked their website, can't find if their products are certified at all, at least OP's is certified, and TP-link are even "more" certified and UL listed. If you are going cheap, just get no-names off ebay/baba. I want something with a company behind it I can sue if their product attempts to burn down my house. Don't compare cheap crap to somewhat reputable crap, to mainstream crap.

He just joined. I'm sure he would buy a 65 OLED for 500 from those panel swapping non authorized sites too.
In other words Clueless

Well it's all crap. Smilie
I agree there is some stuff that is better crap then other crap. With that out of the way.
I posted a picture of what is on the back of my BN-Link smartplug. And here is video review of the BN-Link that has timer, energy monitoring, and other features in the plug.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xaEV0reXr8

It has good ratings on Amazon with 80 percent 5 stars and 8percent 4 stars. It got a lot of thumbs up in the Slickdeals thread too.

That is not the point, I picked up lots of smart plugs for 5 dollars a piece free shipping on Amazon and Best buy on sale. I just was using the Bn-Link price product as example.

But people are FREE to buy whatever they want. Do you think this is good price for the Wyze smartplug , and have you recently bought other brands that are good under 10 dollars on sale a piece?
