Played through this a few months ago. It's stressful and hard until you figure out some of the patterns of the alien's movement and learn to open/close doors, turn sensors on/off, constantly scan through cameras, put humans into hiding at the right time, etc.

It really inspires a sense of dread and wanting to stay put rather than putting your crew in danger... but once you break through that resistance and just take action it becomes fun. You will die several times before perfecting each level, though.

Once I got over those humps, I had to keep playing each mission until I could do them without losing any crew. It was fun.

So is this basically Five Nights at Freddy's with an Alien instead of animatronic puppets?

Being a pretty big Alien fan I might give this a go, but this Google Play review has me a little concerned on whether or not I pull the trigger:

"So what this game offers is a 2D maps(ugly designed ones too) where there are a couple of dots representing the humans and the alien. The human dots have to reach certain spots on the map and that is the gameplay. The developers were definitely lazy and looking to make a quick buck out of this. If they cared at all about this product -they would quickly pull it from the store and apologize for their mistak"

Play Alien: Isolation on consoles and PC if you haven't and are a fan, and pray for a sequel.

If you're a fan of the Alien franchise it's probably worth it for a dollar.

The alien computer game made me pucker in multiple places almost 20 years ago (even yelp and sweat), this is a meh at best if you're a fan of the franchise or have a backlog of games. For the other 1 percent, go for it.
