He "posted this last week".... so what's your point? It's a deal that's worthy of posting. WTF have you contributed? You have a 59 reputation... not exactly lighting it up yourself. Lighten up Francis.

Thanks for posting OP. I missed the deal from ~10 days ago.

The unit you got is on old firmware. You need to plug it in directly to your cable modem for around 20 to 30 minutes to let it update to the newest firmware, allowing you to add it to a mesh network.

And I'm tempted to add this to my Google WiFi setup just like I was 10 days ago.

Just like 10 days ago though, the possibility of a new Google WiFi system with wifi 6 will keep me on the sidelines.

I have three and love every bit of them. I don't think I've had to reset them a single time. I've had one since that came out then I've added the other two on these deals to extend coverage over my 4500 ft ranch

the router is good but at this time, I'd probably just buy a used one on ebay for 30-40 bucks.

Is this better than the ASUS Tmobile router (flashed to RT-AC68U/P)?

What is this trickery you speak of? I got 2 OnHubs and I'm having some connectivity issues in the basement and was looking at connecting a 3rd. Should I wait? Got a link?

It has very nice range as long as there's no walls in the way, so I would say yes. For a cheap setup you can probably rock these depending how big the space is.
