If you don't already own them I would not hesitate for one second to get Bastion, Transistor, Steamworld Dig 1 for under $5. Those games are waaaay worth their normal retail price. Under $5 is a steal for some high quality stuff.

Fair enough. There are also a few (Darkest Dungeon, Steamworld Quest, Wizard of Legend, Don't Starve) I didn't care for. But I liked these:

Bastion – Great game – much better than the IOS because you have a real controller. Fun kind of "walk around and kill things and find treasure" game.
Transistor – Also great, a little more frenetic than Bastion but you can tell the same people made it
SteamWorld Dig and 2 – both great games, kinda short but easily worth the money. Metroid-like but with some light crafting and a bit of Dig-Dug.
SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition – totally different game than Dig – more of a tactics game where you plan your attacks and then watch them play out. I'd pick Dig over Heist but that's just preference.
Iconoclasts – I loved this game – probably my favorite Indie on Switch. Think metroid but happier and with NPCs.
Flipping Death – Funny game in a Psychonauts vein. Great on the TV, but a little too dark and hard for me to see on portable. Can see how someone would get bored, too.
Jotun: Valhalla Edition – great game if you like variety in gameplay and story. Lots of "atmosphere." Great boss fights, too. Really liked this one.
Aegis Defenders – this is a solid game. Drags in spots but the "Lost Vikings/Trine" mechanics are done well (different characters do different things and you have to figure out which does what to get to the next area) and there's a bit of strategy-action here and there.
NeuroVoider – fun if you like twitchy, roguelike two-stick shooters. Hectic.
Thimbleweed Park – this is an old-school point-and-click silly adventure game. Great if you like those old King's Quest type games from the 90s. If you find them dull that won't change here.
Wandersong – think a more chill, much weirder, musical version of Guacamelee meets Luigi's Mansion. Fun but the mechanics take some getting used to.

These were just OK:

Golf Story is kinda meh for me. It was fun for a while but got old.
Same with Crypt of the NecroDancer – fun but not as fun as the Zelda one. Weird little rhythm game where you have to attack on the beat or it doesn't work. Got frustrating.
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons was not bad but a little too expensive for this point in its life. Better on IOS, IMHO.
ABZU is honestly only good if you play on the TV. Pretty and chill. Not a super active game.

Crypt of the NecroDancer at $4 is a steal! Such a great rhythm game and very challenging as well. A must buy for all!

The Steamworld franchise is pure gold! Love them all and I'm pretty sure I paid full price for them on Switch and Steam.

Well if you haven't played Steamworld Dig 2, highly recommended if you liked the first, if you only had to play one, 2 would be the top choice. It does everything bigger and better. I recommend this to anyone who remotely likes Metroidvanias. It's accessible and on the easier side, but still has difficulty if you want a challenge.

The rhythm gameplay is impenetrable for me.

Lots of great games there. Too bad I bought pretty much all of them in previous sales.
