For those on the fence on this little guy it is not horrible, but not great without a controller. I picked one up around 6 months ago during a SD for about the same price.

I found the responsiveness pretty lacking on an iPhone7 and iPad (2018). So much, that the kids would smash it into the walls or ceiling indoors. They have no issues with the spark + RC.

If you can hold out for another mavic air or spark deal you would probably have a better overall experience.

Are you expecting to see a deal on a Spark for under $100?

I'm not sure that we can ever expect a deal, but it has been down to at least $199 on SD if not lower.

I use my spark (and Mavic) all the time and love flying them as do the kids. They have no interest in the Tello, Parrot, or other lower end quads I tried.

It comes down to each person to decide if control, longevity, flying time and enjoyment is worth a little extra money.

How does it do outside? Want to get one to practice on before I get a real drone. What is the range on it?

eBay has the Ironman edition under $20 from China. Not sure if it is fake or not.

Geez, when did Brickseek start getting slammed with ads? I swear I was on 2 weeks ago and it was a nice interface. Maybe a mobile thing?

I have an Altair aa300, it's a beginner+ drone, but has all the options like gps, brushless motors, 1080p, etc. I really like it, but I'm a beginner.
