Saw these on the clearance shelf so I grabbed one. They have about 7 boxes at the HD I went to.

Anybody who got these have batter Mfg date codes from the batteries? Really want this mostly for the batteries and the drill and case. Saw is OK but already got saws a-plenty. Just wondering if these are like 2017 batteries that might have shorter life due to being built and stored years ago. Still some at my local store and tempted to get it. There's no doubt it's a good deal, just it's a matter of how-much-do-I-want-it? I have that massive power inverter/charger and it really liked bigger batteries. Of course I know these are not the biggest FlexVolt but still should be good.

Thanks. Yes I just got one also; the date code says 2019 06 41-41. So, that's very good.
I'd actually seen them in the store for a few days and couldn't make up my mind because I didn't really need another big saw (I prefer the smaller ones for most work I would do with it). But with the 2 batteries, XR drill and nice case, that almost justified it. Also had a $10 off $100 coupon (Home Depot Pro account; targeted email only) which worked.

I was kind-of hoping clearance price would drop more, but I suspect most of these will be gone sooner than that. Stock already very limited in the Portland, OR area, BrickSeek showed 3 stores. This was Camas WA that still had some. Don't both with E Portland (Mall 205). I was there this AM and they spent 45 minutes trying to find since their system showed 5. Eventually they said they found a pallet up high in storage, turned out it was a different DeWalt 20V kit in the same size ToughSystem case. So after all that I said, no this isn't the right one and we gave up. Luckily Camas had still.

That should be fine. I think that means late 2018. So less than a year old. Honestly I've had Milwaukee batteries 6+ years old, and never had a problem with one seeming "weak" or failing so I believe there's nothing to worry about. The reason I asked was that the Flexvolt system with this model battery (6AH at 20V) was first announced in 2016, so I wanted to make sure that these weren't old ones that were already 3 years old. It turns out all the info we are getting says these sets were made in late 2018 through mid 2019; should be perfectly fine.

Solid Deal! got it for $277 with military discount. Sold the Drill for 100 and 2 older (late 2018) 5ah batteries for $100 on FB marketplace. So swapped to 2 6ah flex volt batteries and a circular saw for 77 bucks. Not all that bad. Now I'm ready for those flex volt bare tool black Friday sales.

Lol. Just imagine if you had 6 or 8 5ah batteries lying around. You would be making money on this deal.

I just picked one of these up at the Warren, MI (Hoover Rd) HD. There were 2 left for $280 about an hour ago (3 before I got mine). BS says they may be the last in the area.

EditBig Grinate code on batt: 2019 13-49 5-8 for my set.

Inventory at my local store was reported out of stock, home depot live chat called the store, confirmed 3 in-stock... and I called to buy it over the phone so I can pick it up after work.

Already have the drill and charger, but I wanted the batteries and saw... can probably sell off the extra drill/charger and make out like a bandit.
