I've been shooting Fuji for years, started with the original x100, moved onto the X-T1, became a full time photographer with the X-T2, and still shoot professionally today with the X-T3. During all those years of Fuji camera use, I also had the X-T10, XA5, X-T100 and of course a big array of lenses, including the one included here. I'm listing all this to show I very much appreciate Fujifilm Cameras. With all this said, skip this camera if you are expecting a lot out of you main camera. The video is unusable, so don't even bother. The AF system is NOT good. You will get superior image quality compared to any Sony, Canon or Nikon in this price range all the way up to 4x this price, but it will be a pain to use and the feeling of using this vs their higher end cameras leaves a ton to be desired. Its cheap, plastic and lightweight body make it feel like a toy. I know what you are thinking, "I just want a small, light and easy carry around camera to take with me everywhere to take better photos than I normally would on my phone". I said something similar and 9/10 I would just use my phone b/c this camera is a disappointment. Maybe I'm being too hard on this camera b/c I've experienced their flagship cameras, but I'm very much against this camera b/c I'd hate for this to be a consumers introduction to Fujifilm. Their lenses are second to none and their cameras are the absolute best tool for capturing images. This camera on the other hand is simply not that. Blah.

This is a great camera for entry into the APS-C format. The XC lens is not the greatest Fujifilm has to offer, but the image quality is still very good.

At this price, it's going to be much better than almost anything else that costs much more in the micro 4/3 range.

16mm only equates to 24mm full frame equivalent, for realestate you may want to go to 14-18mm on FF to capture beyond 90° FoV

Thank you, the last time I tried Fuji was decades ago with their W3 3D camera, not really impressed and have not had Fuji since. I feel like it is time to give them another try. Basically, I am looking for a cheap backup camera with somewhat acceptable(at least better than the iPhone) quality for everyday carry purpose, not for working, but to capture the unexpected exciting moments.

I've been trying to get a entry level mirror less to start getting into taking photos. I'm assuming this is a good deal so I pulled the trigger on it. also no sales tax ftw. Thanks OP
