My wife's vacuum broke so I've been looking for a replacement. Supposed regular price is 479 but it's on sale for 299 and then save 60 with code FALL60. It's 375 on Amazon for reference.

This is my first deal post. I'm trying this on the iPad app and for whatever reason I can't find out how to add a picture.

I have this model that I bought direct from Shark website. I ordered all the attachments because it came with a special head for stairs and upholstery that is actually a powered roller head. This style of head is not very common among these type of vacuums. I would say 90% of vacuums that have a special head with a rolling style brush all use the vacuum suction to roll the brush on the attachments. Stupid idea because the second that you put the brush on the stairs, the brush stops rolling. Not with this shark attachment. I could probably make it stop rolling if I pushed really hard on it. Even if you don't get that particular brush head, you at least have the option later on, albeit on the spendier side.

I have had 1 issue with it. It basically stopped working on me and I found out that it had a bad connection in the power cord going directly into the machine. I did buy the special warranty, so I called and they sent me a new motor housing. I transferred all the stuff to the new housing and works great. I even got to keep the broke motor housing. I can probably easily fix it myself once I tear it down.

I honestly don't know how people are getting hair clogged in their brush heads. They must be related to saskwatch and have hair all over their house.

All in all, this is a pretty good deal imo. I opted to do the 0% interest and 12 payments to pay mine off, and I couldn't be happier. If anybody has any questions let me know. I personally like this vacuum. My only qualm is that there is not a dirt sensor. My old kenmore had one, and I relied on that when making sure all dirt was picked up.

FYI this is NOT the same one that goes for $379 on Amazon. That's the AZ1002W, which includes all the extra attachments. The one you linked to is the AZ1000W. As soon as you add the extra attachments on Shark's website, the model changes to AZ1002W and the price jumps up to $419. Even with the $60 coupon, it's $360. Amazon JUST had this for $349 a few days ago, so it's not such a stellar deal afterall.

It is. It's the DuoClean with Zero-M technology BUT without a POWERED lift-away feature. A powered lift-away is a must-have because once you lift the canister, the roller keeps spinning. This means you can vacuum under beds or low-clearance areas as if you had a stick vacuum. With the regular lift-away models, you'd have to use the vacuum in its normal mode, which wouldn't give you that flexibility. It's definitely worth the extra money on the APEX for this feature.

For what it's worth, this APEX model is the only model with both the zero-m technology AND the powered lift-away, hence why it's so expensive compared to the other models.

Does this self-cleaning brush work pretty good with long-haired dogs? My current Shark vacuum gets tangled up quite a bit from my dogs.

Yes it does- at least in my experience.

$259.15 with tax in HOU. Btw it looks like this deal does include a few attachments (crevice, upholstery, under appliance wand) and more importantly, the VIP 5 year warranty (free shipping to/fro)
