Slickdeals posts being deleted by moderators because of the brand?

298 132 September 29, 2019 at 06:29 PM
I posted a deal on a bluetooth speaker and a moderator (missiethegal) deleted the post within 2 minutes of me posting due to the brand of the device? I haven't posted a deal in a long time, but when did Slickdeals start deleting threads/posts based on the brands of the items being sold? Especially when they are being sold on a legit website like Amazon, com I checked the feedback of the seller on Amazon.com and they have over 200,000 feedback which qualifies to be posted as a deal as other moderators have posted that the seller has to have over 1,000 feedback.

What's going on with Slickdeals deleting perfectly good deals on items due to the brand of the item? Is it since it's not from a brand that Slickdeals is receiving money from to promote on the website that they just don't allow a good deal to be posted anymore?

I have seen the same brand posted in the past on Slickdeals, but it seems all the newer deals from smaller not well known companies are being deleted immediately. What's going on?

No, it's legit happening. I posted a deal on an item and it was deleted within 2 minutes of posting due to the brand of the item.

How is Slickdeals being clickbait? I'm not following what you're trying to say. Can you elaborate please?

We do not block merchants because of monetary reasons. If a merchant is blocked, it is usually after multiple bannings of different accounts shilling their own deals. Please do not come up with conspiracy theories.

Okay, I will. I just know that I am not the only person who's threads/posts have been being deleted. There were other recent threads that were deleted for Samsung S10 cases because of the brands of the items being sold.

Do you have a list of blocked merchants posted somewhere? This would be helpful for people who post deals to know which merchants are blocked.

No, sorry, we don't. Most of the blocked merchant names will change to urlhasbeenblocked when you preview or submit your post. Some are common words (or contain common words) that can't be blocked.

Who do I talk to about unblocking a merchant? The merchant I posted has over 200,000 99% positive feedback ratings on Amazon and they sell a lot of different products on Amazon. I'm not sure why they are blocked.
