Usually not, it is cheaper per load using the liquid detergent. Advantage of using pods over liquid is much lighter to carry and you will not overuse as it is pre-measured. Disadvantage is that they are more expensive and sometimes do not dissolve fully in the laundry machine even with warm/hot water setting.

If you're not familiar with Tide Simply Clean, be aware this is NOT the same as regular Tide. It's a lower quality discount version, equivalent to brands like Purex or Arm & Hammer.

For those of you with a Costco membership the Kirkland brand pods are cheaper per pod.

I don't use pods, but are they cheaper than the liquid ones?

Switched to Tide liquid once I figured out the PODS are a one-size-fits-all solution when I rarely run the same size load in the washer.

We keep these on hand for vacations, super convenient (a lot of condos/rentals have mini stacked units).

On a daily basis, kind of a pita. You pay for the convenience. Don't leave the lid cracked or Tide Pods become Tide Blob.

Just like Cascade Platinum.

Huh? The pods are for a smaller/regular load. If you have something extra dirty or stuffing your washer to the brim, you huck another pod in.

I guess my clothes are clean enough with the general rules of 1 pod normal, 2 for dirty or more clothes. It'd be the same with liquid... I'd measure to the normal or 'extra' load line in the cap and dump it in. I'm not here measuring out the scientifically best ratio per load and clothing type and soil level and such.

Same thing as the kcup, yes it is a bit more expensive than just ground coffee but it' s the convenience you are paying for.

If you use the common washer/dryer in an apartment/condo its a pain to carry that bottle from Coscto, carry these pods instead.
