To add to that, these tools are meant from weak cheap metal. I got my dad a smaller set and all of them rusted, unlike the older set he bought in the 90s of Craftsman. One plier also stripped somehow.
It's true.. my father's Craftsman set is of much better quality then the Craftsman Chinese tools I had to buy... Harbor Freight is much better in today's day

It's still not a bad deal for someone with no tools. Gets them a basic set of sockets, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
Only reason I am considering picking this up from the Sears link (Kmart 100 miles away). Just moved out on my own and don't have a single piece of tool and would like to have just a basic set.

Unless someone can recommend something better at a similar price point? I don't know much about tool quality/brands.

Half of the set is filler Allen wrenches. No thanks
It's $58. What do you really expect for $58?

If you wait for deals, you'll find them. Lowes glitches are posted all the time. Picked up the Kobalt 227 mechanic set for $80, with no filler Allen wrenches.

Note Evolv warranty is only 5 years, with receipt and only available at SEARS stores.

How are people finding these "deals". I haven't seen a KMart ad in a dozen years.

If the wrenches were similar to "Gear Wrenches" this would be close to a deal.

You mean Harbor Freight and their multiple lines of tools. I have yet to break a HF impact socket.

Less Allen key wrenches and add in a variety of screwdriver bits would have definitely made this a buy for me.

I have a couple evolve tool sets from maybe 5-8 years ago and am not super impressed with the level of quality. They're certainly better than having no tools at all but essentially every pair of pliers and wire cutters has surface rust even with storage in indoor, relatively humidity controlled (a/c'd) environments.
