Shark has their new Shark IQ Robot Vacuum for $350 or their Shark IQ Robot Vacuum with Self-Empty Base for $450. These cost $450-$550 (regular one) and $550-$650 (self-empty one) everywhere else, so you're saving at least $100 by buying from Shark directly.

Click here to go to the deal and choose which version you'd like. [sharkclean.com]

Additionally you can likely get 10% off your first purchase if you sign up for emails. A popup should appear to enter your email if you go to the main page [sharkclean.com]. This will bring them down to around $315 and $405. There is also a "Give $20, Get $20" link in the top right of the main page that can be used to get another $20 off (and $20 towards an extra side brush, filter, brushroll or other accessory [sharkclean.com] if you just use 2 emails and give it to yourself). YMMV

This robot vacuum compares favorably to the iRobot Roomba i7+ and the Roomba s9+, but is considerably cheaper. It's a great choice if you want a self-emptying robot vacuum but can't imagine spending $1000+ on it.

Wow, all of the reviews on the Shark website received a free unit. I want to know how to get a free one. Now that would be a slick deal.

Just saw the vacuum wars review. Until today i havent seen a robot vacuum that could compete with roborock at their price range. Id still give the edge to roborock s5 or s4 because of battery life and no go zones at the moment. But when shark updates their firmware to have no go zones it might be the best overall vacuum value wise

I would like to see a lot of amazon customer reviews before making that judgment though. Cant solely rely on tech reviews and benchmarks from websites or youtube.

I wonder about effectiveness of the self-empty base. Things like hair might be tricky to "self-clean". If their self-clean brush is effective... maybe?

I've been using the eufy [BoostIQ] RoboVac 30C for a few weeks now and paid $199.

It works really well for its random cleaning, but the lack of a self-cleaning brush is a bit of a burden. Not horrible, but it does need to be cleaned every 2-4 days.

Not really sure what self-cleaning would help though since the hair wraps around the rollers and needs to be cut off. Also, the spinners sometimes get hairs around them limiting their abilities.

Only complaint is that it has never found home.

The self-clean model [kohls.com] (R100AE though, not R101AE) sells at Kohls. Whenever 30% comes about will be good price. Not sure what the difference between models is.

BBB w/20% off [bedbathandbeyond.com]? (R101AE) seems to be a better option.

Wait till November?

Check any of the 2 videos posted by OP. They claim to solve the "hair in brush" problem.

I've been using the Ecovacs deebot 900 which costs only 270$ from Amazon. It uses laser to map the house which I think way better and more efficient than using camera (because when you leave the lights off, those robots which use camera to navigate will get stuck - I experienced this with the 700$ Roomba from Costco).
Also, Ecovacs app already has the virtual barriers feature which is a huge plus. The only downsides I see is that the deebot 900 doesn't have a self-cleaning base which doesn't really matter to me much because I clean the dust bin like twice a week for a house with 3rooms and dogs. The self-cleaning hair brush on the shark vacuum is pretty cool though .
Vacuum war also made a video on deebot 900 series and he has positive reviews on it.

We've had the Shark Ion 750's for a couple years and have generally loved them. The additions they've made here to have a self-cleaning brushroll, home mapping instead of random patterns, and the self-empty base seem like they would solve the shortcomings of the 750's.

I ordered one last Friday. You can save another 10%, making this come out to $405 by using coupon code ckt24px

Edit: nevermind, looks like it's expired, but you should be able to sign up for their emails for a 10% code.

I think they mean some hair is curl around the brush like you said, but others gets sucked into the bin and thus would get "self-emptied"

How does it compare to a Neato D5? I like our d5, but no side brushes is an irritant.
