Lenovo has:
Larger SSD and larger and faster HDD.

Same graphics card, same processor, same ram.

The screen of the dell doesn't specify the refresh rate, but I'm going to assume its the same 144Hz as the lenovo.

Lenovo does have a smaller battery however and dell has a thunderbolt.

If you're referring to the Costco deal that was posted. I'd go with the Lenovo. I got the dell G3 that was a great deal a few weeks ago and they can run hot. I believe the battery in my g3 is about the same as the Lenovo and it really is pretty poor, however, I was looking for a decent laptop that wouldn't break the bank, so it was a trade off I was okay with.

My friend got a Lenovo Legion and he loves his.

Hope this helps!

I wouldn't assume on the monitor. BIG difference between 144hz and 60hz

I would agree, but I haven't seen any of the deals posted here recently having the 60hz monitor.

But as a follow-up to the question that was posted, I'd now get the Dell over the Lenovo just because its cheaper. See below:

https://slickdeals.net/f/13420303-dell-g5-15-5590-se-laptop-intel-core-i7-9750h-15-6-1080p-ips-16gb-ddr4-128gb-ssd-1tb-hdd-gtx-1660-ti-win-10-881-99-free-shipping-dell?p=130825966&utm_source=dealalerts&utm_medium=em-i&utm_term=1012&utm_content=u4356470&utm_campaign=tu

Edit:
I'm seeing that it's now sold out. I would keep an eye out. My gut is telling me that it will be available if not later today, then tomorrow potentially for a lower price as well. I'm basing this off the selling pattern that the G3 had a few weeks ago. It would sell out, be available again, next day price drop.. for about a week and a half.

Any thoughts compared to the MSI GL75 raider?

I actually picked this one up over the Lenovo. I prefer the steel series keyboard. It'll be here tomorrow. BTW this is also a 17.3" screen vs the one on the Lenovo which is a 15.6". Keep in mind the response time is listed as 3ms on the MSI vs not even being mentioned on the Lenovo.

What's the biggest difference between this laptop and the new egg laptop . This y 740 and the y 545 at Costco have the same Specs, is there any differences besides that? Also is the thermal much better on the Y7 40? I want to buy one of them just not sure what the big differences and if it's worth the extra hundred bucks.
