12 upvotes and not a single comment? Is this a good deal? Can someone who has this provide some feedback?

Yea Samsonite brand is pretty expensive compare to all the luggages u can get for a lot cheaper. I would say this is mid to high tier level of luggages. Rimowa would be in the higher tier. Now those are EXPENSIVE

The 20" doesn't meet most airline carry on size requirements. These damn airlines keep making it smaller and smaller

I have the similar ones, not recommended. the lock design has some flaws, you will get it scratched easily because it's not fully recessed. This may also lead to damage if not carefully handled. I will have to add extra strap every time when checkin just for my own pease of mind. And it's very pain process of getting replacement/exchange with them if you get a defect one.

Yeah it really pisses me off how they keep doing that. Can't even check the 25" anymore without paying extra.

I'm assuming he means at the gate, not the ticket counter. It's been a long time since they gave freebies for everything you managed to haul to the gate.

Too much for a luggage with limited warranty that does not include broken wheels and a handle. Only box is covered and there are exclusions on it too.

In that case, with all due respect, the charge should have been in the first place. Gate check was never about bypassing paid check bags. Abusing the policy and hope to get lucky is the exact reason why there is little trust.
