Going off reviews, looks like OS updates through 2022 only on this model. Still a good price.

Question for the chromebook experts. This doesn't have a touchscreen and it supports Android Apps. So you use the touchpad to control Android apps? What about a mouse? Does the experience work well? TIA!

Celeron N3060 is an extremely slow CPU. I wouldn't get anything with less than a Gemini Lake if going for an Atom-based CPU (such as Pentum N5000 or Celeron N4100)

Link to something like that at similar price?
Of course you can do better than a $150 Chromebook, but not your budget is $150.

Yes, the N3060 is gonna be on the slow side with Octane scores around 8800. This would still be OK for a little web browsing and video clips.

That's a little over three years, which is way longer than I would expect this laptop to last. My kid uses a 11.6" Chromebook for 2nd grade, and I paid just a little less for a Samsung version (all sub $200 Chromebooks are basically the same) that was on sale from Walmart. These things are cheap. They're not made poorly, but anything you carry around definitely won't last forever. And in the hands of a 7/8 year old I don't expect it to last more than a year or two. Set realistic expectations, and you won't be let down.

Not an amazing price, but hey, it does have HDMI.
