Marriott Bonvoy New 'Eat Around Town' Earn Points for Dining - 8x Points Per Dollars for Limited Time

+35 Deal Score
13,286 Views
This is new for Marriott Bonvoy [marriott.com] and it's much like the other credit cards promos where you have to link up a credit card to count. However, for a limited-time, earn a whopping 8x points per dollar!

In collab with Rewards Network, Marriott Bonvoy launches new "Eat Around Town" Program, allowing members to earn points after dining at participating restaurants in the US.

Members who are U.S. residents can start earning by simply visiting EatAroundTown.Marriott.com [marriott.com], creating a dining profile, and linking a credit or debit card. From there, their points will automatically be tracked when they dine at participating restaurants, allowing them to earn every time they use their linked card.

Participating restaurants, searchable by location, can be viewed here. [marriott.com]

Just got this email when I added one of my cards:

"Dear Jared,

We're so happy you've been enjoying dining with us. We noticed that you recently moved a credit or debit card to another dining program.

Each card can only be registered in one dining program, so you will no longer be earning MileagePlus® award miles with that card.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

1000 bonus points for:
- Visiting a participating restaurant within 30 days of signing up;
- Spending at least $30 (including drinks, tax & tip), and;
- Completing an online survey of your experience.
Must enroll by 1/15/20 for the 1000 point bonus:
Linky: https://eataroundtown.marriott.co...mber-bonus

Also from the fine print:
- 8x points only valid through 11/11
- After that, the bonus drops to 4x, or 6x if you're a Marriott Elite member (Silver or above)
- Marriott Bonvoy point earned through Eat Around Town do not count toward elite tier qualification.

"With more than 11,000 restaurants to choose from, it's easy to earn Marriott Bonvoy points" except the restaurants you want truly to eat, LOL

This uses the same underlying system/company (Rewards Network) as www.hiltonhonorsdining.com [hiltonhonorsdining.com] and https://skymilesdining.com/ so you won't be able to double dip different programs. You can have different CC's for separate programs if you're so inclined though

Interesting. Does this mean I can enroll in multiple points/miles based programs through the Rewards Network, with different credit cards, i.e. one card per program? I don't want to de enroll from the other program to sign up for this one...

They broke this card when they changed over from spg and reduced the awarded points and made redemption more expensive. These promotions will not win back cardholders who put away their cards.

Marriott has done nothing good since the merger. Arne should be fired.
