I don't think so. I always just go with menards bigger 27 gallon container.

You'll pay more for 5 containers here but you end up with more space and less boxes.

cant beat the price but if you plan on storing important things long term I refuse to buy containers anymore that don't have weather stripping in the lid and locking handles.

Too many warped lids and loose seals on containers like these for clothes, books, pictures etc. but these are great for things that won't get damaged by moisture or bugs.

I have never felt sterilite was sturdy. I tend to move and use storage. If you need light duty storage this might be for you.

Depending on where you put them, and what you plan to use them for, I'd recommend boxes with latching lids. It just gives the lid a better fit, and makes the boxes safer to stack. I've actually been slowly switching over because of how much difference the latch makes.

Different totes for different things. I use those big black and yellows for long term storage, seasonal items, holiday decorations, equipment not often used, etc.
These are more for bedroom, kids room- sweaters, blankets, toys, etc. Also when you want to see thru and know instantly what's in the box.

I have a lot of these filled with life crap and sd items. No more space left under the bed or closets. Price is good. I have paid $9 at some point for a single box.

I haven't had much experience with Stearilite lately, but my past experience with most of these cheaper containers is that they tend to crack and break very easily. Whereas the Rubbermaid and heavier duty bins cost more but hold up well.

I'm moving soon so I'm not being critical of this deal, just asking: how durable are these over time ?
