It's a nice concept but trust me, buy a quality dash cam for $50 plus a good Garmin GPS.

I would grow weary of Alexa always listening...

A Garmin without a map is just stupid. Especially at $100. And Alexa in the car is something I just ignore (yes, I have the Amazon unit).

I personally bought this last time this was on SD. It kind of sucks. Alexa will have a hard time finding directions, I have to either speak really clearly and include the city name (doesn't always work) or open the app to put in the address (defeating the handsfree part). I mostly bought it for my flash news briefings and home automation but my phone with Google Home can do that just as well.

Dashcam is decent, it says it's misaligned but that may be my fault. My main gripe is that Alexa almost never gets the address I want to go to and then she sometimes starts giving me directions then just gives up with no indicator and I have to ask her again. Hoping they get this working better as I love my echo devices at home. For now, I'm sticking to Google Maps and a phone holder.

Buy Garmin 55 dash cam, it has good video quality. Collision detection, lane departure alert, red light alert and many more.

Alexa is always listening. If you get this, don't do or say weird stuff in your car.

I don't know about this particular model, but i have a Garmin Dashcam 20 w/gps and its been going strong for the past 5 years. It sits in my hot ass car here in Texas every day and still turns on and records like new. That has made me trust Garmin so my next dash cam will definitely be a Garmin.
