Yes should be comparable to A5000 but note this is only 16MP which should still be more than enough for most casual shooters. I have the X-A5 and for photos APS-C has significantly better quality than Micro 4/3 so I sold my Olympus. Also with the X-A7 release there should be upcoming deals for the X-A5 and X-A3. The lowlight performance, high speed mechanical shutter and shallow DoF for $200 will be noticeably better than the $1000+ phones. I think we have reached peak phone as far as comparison with dedicated cameras. Also a great way to get into the Fuji X system.

I don't know anything about this camera, but an APC-S camera from Fuji for $200 seems fantastic. I guess this is comparable to a Sony A5000 but with few more knobs?

This is far better, however you are restricted to Fuji's lens ecosystem

eBay and Rakuten links are gone.

This is an incredible deal. You can sell that lens alone for $100+. For less than $100 you get an brand new APSC camera it's a great value

Not really. Tons of cheap adapters, and you can get AF with Canon lenses if you grab the Finger EF-FX adapter.

The sensor is aps-c on the Fuji vs a four thirds cmos, which means the aps-c sensor is twice as big, which takes better pics in numerous conditions, especially low light.

The Fuji has a screen for a view finder, while the Yi, has none, also, the Fuji has a continous shooting mode, so if you have to get pics of kids running around or another shot where you have to aim, the Fuji is aim-able while the Yi is not.

The advantages of the Yi: It does 4k video, and is 20 megapixel, versus 16 megapixel. If you must have 4k video, go with the Yi, I don't care for shooting 4k video yet, and by the time I do, I'm sure the tech for doing it will be far better than a discounted Yi M1.
