Could you comment with the T&C of the deal? Or is there a link in the email to them or more info on this deal which you could share?

If you will read the comments on the deal from March and April, in the link provided above by O.P., you will see that it is not as easy as it seems to get this promo to work. Just beware and be sure to follow all rules EXACTLY.

Do you have to be a redbox member to get this deal? Who sends the gift card - Redbox or T-mo?

I just called in and switched 3 lines from Google Fi to T-mobile. And in addition I added a 4th line. They just needed the promo code. No need for redbox membership.

Today they still have the buy 2 lines get 3rd line free promo going on (tax included). It basically turns out to be $35 a line. So my total bill monthly for 4 lines is $140.

Bought the Magenta Plan which is currently today $35 a line.
$35 x 3 = $140

I only get 3 gift cards since the 4th line is a brand new line and not a switch. So $450 gift cards coming my way in 8 to 12 weeks.

Also they tacked on $30 per sim card. With tax my credit card was charged a total of $123.72.

The SIM cards weren't free? That's new. It's always been free

The $30 might have actually been an activation fee.

edit: There is a $10 SIM card fee listed on T-Mobile's website (at least for some plans). I also saw this: "in stores & on customer service calls, $20 assisted or upgrade support charge may be required". Of course, reps always have the option of ignoring or waving any fee but that second fee is some BULL.

Could someone comment on what qualifies as the "$650 switch-over charges"? Is that only for actual contracts, or for remaining device payment balances, etc. Please forgive my ignorance

It covers remaining device payments too, but you'll have to give your device to T-Mobile.

https://www.switch2tmobile.com

"We'll reimburse your previous wireless carrier's remaining device payment balance and early termination fees when you join T-Mobile and trade in your device – up to $650/line (up to 5 lines) via trade-in credit and prepaid card."

I'm currently with AT&T and plan on paying off my devices (iPhones) and asking them to unlock them. Will I have a problem using them with T-Mobile when I switch over?
