SmallHD Focus monitor sale (up to $500 savings)

Probably the most amazing, reasonably priced external monitors that have an awesome operating system. These are not cheap Chinese monitors, they are super quality.

Focus 5" 720p $299

Focus OLED 5.5" 1080p $299

Shipping adds about $10 depending on type chosen. Didn't see any mention of sales tax.

Both come with the hot shoe tilt arm which is great, especially for Sony shooters as it allows you to flip the screen so you can see yourself recording (IE for bloggers).

I have two Focus 5s and they are excellent. Trying to decide if I should get one of the OLEDs.

Hope this helps others out there... Really great deal especially on the OLED and SDI if you need that type connection.

Any reason you would get the 5" 720p over the 5.5" 1080p OLED unless you absolutely needed a smaller screen?

Nope... I had the others before the OLED came out. I just bought one... Looking forward to it... Though I'll prob need a new hood since it's .5" larger.

Same price for the OLED: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr..._oled.html

Plus tax.

So, can you back up your claim or will you never post in this thread again?

Input only... Micro hdmi but comes with cables. It doesn't have a pass through so you could hook up another display to it.

Nits (technical brightness rating) is higher on 5", but in practice they are very close in brightness.

Have you used the OLED outside on a sunny day?

Personally no, but there are numerous youtube videos of those that have. I usually use a hood anyway so I never have a problem.

There will always be folks on both sides of anything...I have one coming and then I'll know. I don't have any concerns about it's usability outside.
